Giga Graph Privacy Policy
In one sentence
Giga Graph has no accounts and no servers of its own. Every workout entry stays on your own iPhone. The calendar tab shows ads served by Google AdMob, the only third-party service the app talks to; the section below spells out exactly what Google does and does not get.
What we do not do
- We do not ask you to sign up or log in.
- We do not send your data to our servers or to any third party.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- We do not hand your workout logs, body weight, or InBody values to anyone, including the ad service.
- We do not sell your data.
Data stored only on your device
To work, the app keeps the following in a local database on your device:
- Workout logs: exercises, weights, reps, sets, rest times, and set feedback such as RIR.
- Plans and templates: routines you create or apply from the built-in samples.
- Body metrics: body weight and InBody values you enter by hand.
- Preferences: units, appearance, rest duration, whether you have seen the tour, and similar settings.
This data is protected by iOS device encryption. If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, it is included in your whole-device backup. That is an Apple feature and we cannot access your backups.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Giga Graph is free and is funded by a single banner at the top of the calendar tab. Ads are served by Google AdMob. When an ad is shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK sends a request to Google, which therefore receives:
- Device information: model, iOS version, language, screen size, network type.
- Your IP address and the approximate region derived from it.
- Ad interactions: which ads were shown and tapped.
- The advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you choose Allow in the system tracking prompt.
Google processes this data under its Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We never receive this data ourselves.
Personalized vs. non-personalized ads
The first time you open the calendar tab, iOS asks whether Giga Graph may track you. Choose Allow and Google can use the advertising identifier to pick ads you are more likely to care about. Choose Ask App Not to Track and you still see ads, just not tailored to you. You can change your mind any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Users in the EU, UK and Switzerland
As required locally, you first see a consent dialog from Google where you can choose, item by item, whether your data may be used for advertising. To revisit it later, open Settings → About → Ad privacy options inside the app.
Your workout data has nothing to do with ads
Workout logs, body weight and InBody values live only on your device. The ad SDK cannot read them and we never use them to select ads. This is an App Store rule for fitness apps, and it is our own rule too.
System features that need your permission
Photos
"Record InBody" lets you pick one photo of an InBody report to fill in the numbers automatically. Recognition runs entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. The app reads only the single photo you choose, does not keep the photo after recognition, and never gets access to your whole library.
Notifications and Live Activities
The rest timer uses local notifications and a Lock Screen Live Activity to tell you when rest is over. The content is just the countdown state and never leaves your device. You can turn this off at any time in iOS Settings.
Backup and export
In Settings → Backup & Restore you can export all of your data as a single JSON file, and from the calendar you can export a daily workout report. Exports are handed to the iOS share sheet; where they go from there is entirely up to you. The app never uploads anything on its own.
Deleting your data
- Delete a single entry: delete it inside the app.
- Delete everything: remove the app from your iPhone, which deletes the local database with it.
- Replace with an older backup: choose "Replace" in Backup & Restore.
Because we hold no server-side copy, there is nothing you need to ask us to delete.
Children
Giga Graph is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. In fact, it collects no personal data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If a future version adds a feature that changes how data is handled, such as cloud sync or a new ad format, we will update this page before that version ships and show the new effective date and version at the top.
